Almost an extension of 2020 this past year had seen similar moments. Let's start off with the good, the COVID-19 vaccine was released in January. Life began to seem somewhat normal. Sports came back, with Phil Mickelson winning the PGA Tour and Charleston native Raven Saunders winning a silver medal in the olympics.

Black Lives STILL Matter.

I pitched two Sunday centerpiece stories, one where I followed a couple's grief and death through this pandemic. The other worked along a larger project of rural newspapers and the need of local reporting.

I photographed moons and sunsets (again)

birthdays, celebrations, graduations and much much more.

My new year's resolution is to continue to carry multiple long-form stories that use visual narrative to show these moments in time and document my community that I love.
